It was against these facts, that Safari Life identified the need for, and opportunity in, producing effective and affordable mosquito and insect repellent apparel which last approximately the life of a work garment.

It has also been identified that the risk and psychological concerns of insect borne diseases, and in particular malaria, make for a compelling argument in convincing would-be users to purchase the product. Safari Life chose to use Insect Shield as they currently provide the best available technology in this field and Insect Shield has EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approval.
